Hi people!
It’s time for another game of Weaver Courts! This time, I am playing against Elias and his City States. The game was part of our local League, which is organized by Daniel and really put some energy into the community.
I am playing my Spring list again, so apologize for some proxies, but I am still in the phase of building (and converting) my army. So I had to proxy some moths and the backrank of Morrowen.
My List:

(There should be some upgrades and items, but I cannot remember which he took, sorry guys!)
The scenario was Off-Balance.
Round 1
We start in summer!
I only get my Kern mit Rhun Sidhe and one Whisp unit.. He gets his Thorakites.

Round 2
It’s Autumn!
He gets his Phalangites with Aristarch and the Agema with Polemark, as well as one Chariot (I don’t know which one tbh…).
I get Morrowen, Crann, 2 Moth Units and not a single light unit. Rolled well on mediums, but not so well on lights…
So we move onto the table. The Thorakites move directly behind their own Objective to hop it next turn. But that brings them into range of my Kern with Rhun Sidhe! I move the Whisps up first, so they can protect the Objective and start shooting the Thorakites, doing some heavy damage to them!
Nobody scores, so it’s 0 to 0.

Round 3
It’s winter now.
I get my lights automatically and bring in another unit of moths. So one is remaining in reserve.. He gets Talos, Companion Cavalry with Character and one Chariot. Sacred Band remains in reserve as well.
I think I won the Supremacy, but I am not sure. One of his first activations is to charge the Thorakites into the Whisps. It is like a 3 inch charge, which he fails. But he does not move forward since he would be on his objective, which is not possible. So it’s a good try with not a lot to lose I guess.
Phalangites move up towards the left zone, but they are slow and cannot reach it in time. Also Talos is moving up the midfield and the Ponies backed up by a chariot are protecting the left flank.
His last activation of course are the Agema with Polemarch, who march onto the right zone and into range of a whole bunch of units. Maybe he will use his supremacy next turn. Maybe.
The Kern with Rhun Sidhe in the center aim and shoot at the remaining Thorakites and rolling absolute bonkers, breaking the already damaged regiment in the process! Then the Whisps charge the enemy Objective and really manage to do a wound.
On my right flank the Ciannir Riders manage some shots into the Agema, killing exactly one stand. Nice.
We both score a zone so it’s 2 to 2.

Round 4
Aaaaaaand it’s Spring!
The rest of our units arrive.
He uses his Supremacy going first with Polemarch and his Agema. I moved my Morrowen in a way so he has to charge them, or, with Fluid Formation, he could also charge the moths, but he would be off the objective AND within 8 inches of the Morrowen, charging in his back.
So he goes for the Morrowen. Parry coming in clutch again! I still lost 3 stands worth of Morrowen, but that’s fine. When they activate, they heal back a stand through regeneration and I decided to not use their Seeds to heal another stand. Since its Spring, they punch with a million attacks with Cleave 1, killing all of the Agema (maybe some Kern shooting was involved as well, I can’t remember).
In the middle, my Whisps activate first, doing another point of damage to the objective! Then the Talos charges in, but does not kill the Whisps in one go, since he only has a few Impacts and like 12 attacks. The Thorakites rally and move sideways to charge the Whisps next turn.
On the Left flank, he moves his Phalangites onto the zone, backed up by some Ponies and the Chariot. Since I severely outactivate him at this point, he had to move into me, even though I did not activate anything on the left flank.
So the Rhun Sidhe and his Kern shoot into the Flank of the Phalangites, doing insane amounts of damage. Sciathan hop in front of the Kern to protect them and the Objective from the Talos.
Crann Guardians Charge and Slash into the Phalangites and after the Dust is settled, three stands worth of Greek Warriors are dead.
Meanwhile Ciannir shoots at the Companion Cav while Sciathan flies over them, dropping some bombs – between these two units I kill two stands worth of Riders, so they are broken. I only managed to do the Bombing run because of the spring movement by the way.
On the far right flank, some Sacred Band and the other Chariot arrive. The Chariot moves onto the field and shoots my Ciannir which are in a forest, doing some damage. The Ciannir charged the chariot in retaliation, doing some damage.
I scored one zone and killed his warlord, so I get 4 points to his 0 – its 6 to 2 now.

Round 5
It’s spring again!
I use my supremacy to have another turn in spring!
The game is already over, but to rub it in, I also win the supremacy. Moths going first, killing the last Companion Cav. The Crann go next, kill the Phalangites and Charge into the chariot.
Talos charges into some moths but we call it a game here. Nothing more to win or lose.
The game ends, we did not calculate it till the end, but it’s a huge victory for the Weavers (again)!
Thanks Elias for the nice game – really great and chill opponent!

Fourth Weaver impression
I cannot explain how much I like to play Weaver Courts. Its a super tricky army to play and every mistake you make really hurts – but they also feel really rewarding.
I like the spring list quite a lot. It is fun to play, has some resilience but also a lot of movement. I am again surprised by the Morrowen and how surprisingly good they are. Over the last two games they tanked a lot of scary stuff. But I am still not sure if they are worth their points.
Moths are great as always, but I think I would switch at least some of them for some Cavalry once they are released…
Next I want to play the Mhor Sidhe Warlord and see how this guy does. I think Autumn is really strong and The Culling is a heck of an ability. Even thou I learned that the Internet thinks otherwise 😀
